I was waiting for this book, actually I was going to the book store before the release data of the 13th trying to find this book. After all my birthday was on the 12th and this was my gift to myself.
So now I am actually reading this book and I like it as much as I did the first one. Oh the Magic of Recluse books still are better in my mind, but these Imager books also are very good. I like that it starts right after the first Imager book (Imager: The First Book of the Imager Portfolio) and contines with Rhenns’ story. In this book like the first Rhenn is forced to figure out a lot of things on his own, I like the quote from Grandmama Diestra where shetells Rhenn that while the Collegium is not his enemy, it also is not necisarily his friend. The Collegium needs to look out for itself and the mjority of the Imagers and not just a single Imager here and there.
This is definately a book to get if you have read anything of L.E. Modesitt, Jr. before and enjoyed it.
I also am very glad that I bought both this book and the first Imager book on iTunes and my 13 year old son is also enjoying the books too. He dislikes taking the time to actually read so we frequently listen to book on the iPod in the car.
